Olde Burial Hill
Marblehead Massachusetts
Olde
Burial Hill was established in 1638 and is the final resting place for over 600
revolutionary heroes, their families and Pastors. It is one of the finest remaining examples of New England
gravestone carving. Located with one
entrance on Orne Street and access also from Pond Street it’s sits over looking
Massachusetts and Salem Bays to
the east and a small man made pond to
the west. An old world picturesque setting
at the top of a granite faced hill. The perfect resting place for a
seaside township. Some of the most interesting and most famous gravestone
carvings can be found here.
